Montgomery signs

Registration for Montgomery Community Association programs will take place on Wednesday, September 8 at the Montgomery School from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Participants should register and pay program fees there to receive their tax receipt. Programs are for ten weeks for the autumn term beginning on September 20.

Volunteering is what communities are built on!
We are very lucky here at the Montgomery Community Association to be supported by a regular crew of expert volunteers. We believe it’s our responsibility to help and to play an active part in our community If you were ever interested in helping out the Community come out to the meeting. Indoor Program Coordinator is vacant.
We need a Indoor Program Coordinator for the Winter indoor programs . Are you an energetic and creative person who would like to help keep kids and people active in your community? Would you like to organize programs that your family and neighbours would enjoy? Volunteer with us as an Indoor Program Coordinator and make a real difference. Training and support are supplied. If intested please contact anyone on the executive.

HELP US TO HONOR VETERANS WHO SETTLED MONTGOMERY PLACE

The community association is planning to erect a memorial near the Cairn in Montgomery Park, which would list all the names of the war veterans who settled Montgomery Place. We were requested to consider this undertaking and decided that it would be a fitting way to pay tribute to these individuals who were responsible for making our community such a great place. Accordingly, we have researched the names of the veterans who were allowed to build or purchase a home under the Veterans Land Act from 1946 to 1977. We hope we have a comprehensive list of all the veterans but may have missed some. Please let us know of any veterans to ensure we don’t omit them.
