A Throws Pentathlon was organized by Montgomery Place Olympian Margaret Tosh, and held at Montgomery School on September 8, 2018. Thrown were the hammer, shotput, discus, javelin and weight.

On June 28, 2018 the long-awaited National Historic Site plaque was installed in Montgomery Park. The designation of Montgomery Place as a National Historic Site in Canada honours our community’s roots as a veterans’ development following the end of the Second World War in 1945. Today, Montgomery Place is a place “of profound importance to Canada.”
