7:00 pm
February 6, 2024

Residents are welcome to attend our monthly meetings in the Montgomery School Library.

The Montgomery Place Community Association (MPCA) is a volunteer board comprised of residents from the community. Our goal is to organize, develop, and promote recreational, educational, and social programs for the residents of Montgomery Place, as well as maintain the unique character and history of the area. Our neighbourhood has always had a strong sense of community, so whether you are a long time resident or a newcomer, we welcome you to join our association and become involved. If you have some extra time to give back to your community, and would like to meet your neighbours and make new friends, contact our President Barb Biddle.

Exciting news! The Get Outside! Kids' Club is coming to Montgomery Park on Sunday February 25th!

This FREE Nature Education program for families with kids ages 6 - 13 showcases a different park and nature theme each month. Our February program focuses on our urban forest and includes interactive activities the whole family will enjoy. Please register in advance at https://www.wildernook.com/get-outside-kids-club for either the 10:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or the 1:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. timeslot.

This subsidized program provides opportunities for families with kids and their parent/caregiver to learn, connect and care for the different naturalized and green park spaces across the City of Saskatoon.  Please dress to be outdoors and playful in the snowy conditions for two hours. This program is not just for kids! Please select registration spots for both children and adults who will be attending.

Location: Montgomery Park behind Montgomery school. The meeting spot will be in front of the paddling pool building along Caen Street. Please come and check in with us upon arrival up to 10 minutes before the program start time.

Cancellation: The Get Outside! Kids Club plans to go ahead rain or shine. If there is a blizzard, extreme cold temperature or severe wind we will cancel and let you know by email.

More about the program:

Each month from Sept. -  March during the school year, the Get Outside! Kids' Club will showcase and facilitate ecological learning and stewardship opportunities at a different naturalized park or green space within the City of Saskatoon. The Get Outside! Kids' Club events are 1.5 - 2 hours long, and feature hands-on, experiential and nature-based learning activities. Our goal is to support families in developing meaningful nature connections to the special ‘nearby nature’ sites we visit. Please join us in thanking the City of Saskatoon, Nature Saskatchewan, SaskOutdoors and Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation whose generous support has made the Get Outside! Kids Club possible. Save the date: Sunday, March 17th
