Over the past few months many Montgomery Place residents have expressed their concerns on Facebook about suspicious and criminal activities. Crime statistics for our neighbourhood indicate these concerns are valid. While sharing information and talking about crime on social media can be helpful, a real-world proactive response is required to help prevent crime and keep our neighbourhood safe.
Thank you to the few concerned residents who attended our Community Watch crime prevention meeting on September 20, 2018. Your attendance was much appreciated. Many thanks to our guest speakers from Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) and Lifestyle Audio & Video for their informative presentations. SCAN focuses on unsafe homes involved with drugs, gangs, prostitution and other criminal activity. Lifestyle Audio & Video reviewed security devices such as doorbell cameras and security camera systems.
