The City of Saskatoon is proposing upgrades to the ditch and culvert storm water infrastructure system to improve surface drainage and reduce flood risk in Montgomery Place. In 2020, drainage improvements along Caen Street, Lancaster Boulevard and Dundonald Avenue are proposed in conjunction with water main replacement, leadline connection removal, and road resurfacing to maximize project budget effectiveness and efficiencies. All neighbourhood residents are encouraged to attend and provide feedback because similar drainage projects are proposed for other Montgomery Place locations in the future.
Learn about the following and provide feedback:
- Proposed 2020 Construction Schedule
- Ditch construction impact on trees, landscaping, and driveways
- Cost-sharing considerations for driveway reconstruction
- Standards for future driveways in the neighbourhood
You can learn more about the project and provide feedback through a survey about flooding, driveway widths, the drainage plan, and cost sharing at Saskatoon.ca/engage (Montgomery 2020).
