What a success! The July 9, 2016 Richard St. Barbe Baker Afforestation Area clean-up saw 8300 kg. (128 cubic yards) of trash removed from about 259 hectares of land by 66 volunteers from across North America – Toronto, British Columbia, Quebec, Halifax, Victoria, Philadelphia, Utah, and Winnipeg as well as from Saskatoon. Included in the trash collected were 85 tires, a 200 gallon water tank, 90 litres of oil, six mattresses and box springs, two huge contractor size cans of roofing tar, and at a very minimum 12 roof-loads of shingles and so much more….
